“Treasures of a Nation” Chinese New Year Concert 2017 

The prestigious Chinese Orchestra of China National Opera & Dance Drama Theatre (CNODDT) made a memorable return to Australia performing their stunning concert “Treasures of a Nation” as part of the Chinese New Year Concert celebrations from Feb 6-16, 2017. The Orchestra featured over fifty seasoned musicians led by conductor Hong Xia and Gaohu soloist Bai Miao.

Treasures of a Nation delivered a truly transcendental experience that showcased a melodic melange of traditional Chinese music with contemporary overtones. The audience was taken on a fascinating journey exploring the rich cultural treasures of Chinese heritage alongside the soul of Chinese culture embodied through the universal language of music.

With fifty years of experience under their belt, the Chinese Orchestra of CNODDT has brought many high-level opera and dance drama productions to the stage. The Orchestra has a unique artistic style and has already fostered many highly acclaimed theatrical performers.
